Chelmsford Golf Club hosted the Silver Handicap Meeting on 1st July with 33 ladies playing from 9 clubs around the County. The weather was kindand ladies were very complimentary on the fantastic condition of the golf course which lent itself to some very good scores.
The Raphael Bowl which was open to ladies with HCI of + to 10.4 was won by Brenda Skudder from Chelmsford Golf Club scoring nett 66, runner up was Gill Haysham from Chelmsford Golf Club with nett 72.
The Barber Salver open to ladies 10.5 HCI to 20.4 was won by Debs Wolton from Chelmsford Golf Club scoring nett 66. Runner up, and on countback, was Tania Fuller from Claction Golf Club also scoring nett 66.
The Aggregate Shield which was first played in 1936 for the best four aggregate nett scores and was won by Chelmsford Golf Club with scores from Brenda Skudder (nett 66) Debs Wolton (nett 66), Alison Evans (nett 71) and Gill Haysham (nett 72).
