Chelmsford Golf Club Ambassador Scheme

In cooperation with the CGC Bursary we are pleased to announce the launch of our Brand Ambassadors to be the face and voice of our CGC brand. Successful candidates will be involved in increasing brand awareness and fund raising promoting the Club through various media channels and by attendance at various competitions arranged throughout the year. The intention is that Ambassadors will have developed their golfing credentials through the CGC Cadets section and may have been supported by the Bursary with a focus on playing golf at the highest standard (Elite Amateur/PGA Trainee/Pro/Sports Management). An Ambassador would represent CGC in all elite competitions (where eligible) and actively distribute social media around their diaries and planned events and experiences building a greater awareness of their development and progress across the CGC membership.

Working closely with the Ambassador committee to develop marketing goals and objectives, such as communicating the value of CGC in the development and support of the youth cadet and the historic success of the Club in fostering young talent. The Ambassador role will provide the individuals in enhancing their communication and networking skills and developing a positive presence on social media. Through fund-raising initiatives, the committee, like the Bursary, will enable and build a distribution of funds to Ambassadors and others who are invited to apply for funding support to develop their golf credentials. CGC will formalise and align Ambassadors to the category attending college and would immediately benefit from reduced Youth 19-21 or 22-30 categories by being part of our FTE category (Full Time Education). Fund raising events will be encouraged through Member competitions where Ambassadors will be encouraged to attend, participate, or provide their services to demo events alongside other Ambassadors as well as potential sponsorship funding from members, members corporate sponsorship etc.
